University of Galway Paediatric Society is a growing group of passionate individuals who all share an interest in empowering young children to lead healthier lifestyles. Our goal is to organise events which educate children on important matters such as health and wellbeing in interactive and fun ways. We aim to encourage Paediatrics as a career and provide information regarding different pathways and the subspecialties within Paediatrics. For those who aren't studying a medical course, there are opportunities to volunteer and to provide a service to the local community through a host of events throughout the year.

For this year we intend to be innovative in our approach while still adhering to our core principles. This includes plans for socially distanced picnics, movie nights, potlucks and game nights to get to know one another (We understand how difficult it may be for incoming students to mingle and make friends this year). Additionally, we will be reinventing our annual events such as Healthy Heroes, Information Night and general fundraising events to follow up to date HSE guidelines.
