This is a picture of some of the volunteers in front of the first school with which NUIG Paediatric Society piloted the Healthy Heroes initiative. In collaboration with AMSI NUIG, we were able to go to 3 various primary schools in Galway city including a DEIS school and an all boys school. We taught children about the benefits of healthy eating and we also gave our members the opportunity to interact with children and help build up valuable skills.
