Welcome to Cancer Soc where our goal is to promote cancer awareness - through fundraising and education.
Coming off one of our most successful years, our aim is to yet again raise funds for a variety of organisations in order to help the fight against cancer! Such organisations include but are not limited to the Irish Cancer Society as well as the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, each having received some share of the 8,000 euros raised last year.
We host a series of charitable fundraisers throughout the year to meet exactly these goals. Our most famous examples include University of Galway annual Relay for Life as well as the 'Box in Pink' event where 30 brave studnets undergo 8 weeks of legitimate boxing training to fight their mates in an actual ring at Galway's own Clayton hotel.
