The event being held will be the Margaret Heavey Memorial Lecture 2024. Professor Isabelle Torrance from Aarhus University of Denmark will be giving an Academic lecture, ‘A Trip to the Moon: Lucian, Irish Satire and Migration History’. This will be held on Tuesday the 15th of October 2024 from 6pm in the Hardiman Building, G-010. This will be followed by a book launch event for: Michael Clarke, Erich Poppe, Isabelle Torrance (eds), Classical Antiquity and Medieval Ireland: An Anthology of Medieval Irish Texts and Interpretations (Bloomsbury 2024) [Open Access]
