African Caribbean Society

ACS is a society that brings diversity, culture, perspective, banter and much more to the table. We hope to inspire with our different events and to enrich and enlighten people about African customs and cultures. The main aim of this society to celebrate and share the diversity of African and Caribbean cultures while developing a community where all nationalities are welcome. We've go a lot planned for this year (dance workshops, culture workshops, movies, inter-varsity debates, game nights, Guest speakers and much more!)

Mission Statement: The aims of the Society is to represent a positive image of Africa and the Caribbean. To reveal the identity of the various cultures in both Africa and the Caribbean as well as celebrate the diversity of all our cultures. To embrace histories and be positive ambassadors of our nations. And, mostly importantly, to develop a community for all nationalities to commune in whilst having tons of fun!

The committee would like to thank everyone who joined the society this year. We wouldn't have been established as a society if not for you all!

The University of Galway African Caribbean Society aims to enlighten the college community about the customs and invoke appreciation for the culture whilst exploring surrounding colleges and how they too share their experiences and take in their perspectives.
