To send wildlife week off in a bang we would like to invite you to our Hawk walk event. Ever wondered what its like to be falconer, training hawks to hunt and return to their trainer? Or want to tick holding a bird of prey off your bucket list ? this might be the event for you !!

  • Uneven Terrain: The Hawk Walk is a very hands-on & interactive experience which entails a moderate walk along woodland paths over uneven terrain, with trip hazards, while handling & flying a hawk.
  • Suitable Clothing: With regard to clothing, it is advisable to wear long sleeves and closed-toe footwear that is suitable for walking in the countryside through forestry.
  • No Wheels!: The hawks are not wheelchair friendly unfortunately, they are mistrustful of anything with wheels so it is not possible to bring a wheelchair or a mobility aid to the Falconry School, apologies.

We will be meeting at the kingfisher club at 12:40pm and arriving at Ashford castle at 1:44pm depart from the same location at 3:45pm and arrive back on campus 4:40pm
