A 24 hour lock-in event held in Aras na Mac Leinn of the University of Galway on the 31st of January at 2pm until 2pm the following day. Societies include UG - Time Lord, Horror, Photography and Rover with societies from TU Dublin (Game, LGBTIA+, Horror) and the University of Limerick (Game, Game Dev, CompSoc) Sponsored by the Bank of Ireland

Food and drinks will be available at the Lock-in with dietary requirement accomodated for. 

Doors will close at 9pm and be reopened at 9am.

Terms and Conditions

    Zero tolerance harassment policy: includes verbal abuse, physical abuse, inappropriate physical contact and inappropriate sexual attention. Harassment of any kind will result in being removed out of the lock-in. We are all students who have volunteered to run this event in our spare time. 

    Please report harassment to a committee member or organiser.

    Anyone caught stealing will be reported to security and removed out of the lock-in.

    No smoking or vaping indoors. There will be a set space outside

    Attendees should note that they may be photographed while in attendance of the lock-in by our organisers. These will be used for promotional material. If you feel uncomfortable with this, please tell an organiser.

    No members of the public will be allowed in without a ticket.

    Alcohol and Drugs are Banned. If these items are found in your possession, you will be asked to hand them over and if refused, you will be removed from the event.

    Anything you bring is your own responsibility.

    NerdFest will not have sleeping bags so bring your own if you wish. There will be many set spaces for sleeping.
