ZooSoc wintertime trip to Prague This ticket books you spot on the trip occurring on the 4th of January to the 8th of January. all attendees will be representing both the society and the college so please have a read of the members rules provided below. You will be added to a WhatsApp group chat to discuss the trip, and you will be invited to a trip information night (to be organised)

Join ZooSoc for our winter trip to Prague! Happening from the 4th of January to the 8th, this product covers flight costs, hostel costs. We have received a €10 subsidy for your transport from the airports which is build into the reduction in price of this ticket.

We will be visiting lots of fun animal related locations so make sure to grab a ticket while you can, as places are limited! Hope to see you there!!

ZooSoc wintertime trip to Prague


Important to note:

Zoosoc doesn't deal with visas and to participate on this trip you must be strictly over 18 and your passport muct be in-date.


This ticket books you spot on the trip occurring on the 4th of January to the 8th of January.

Please fill in all the questions including if you will be meeting us in Galway Coach Station or at Dublin Airport Ryan Air check in area, times to be confirmed.

This ticket includes,

  1. transport to Dublin airport from the Galway coach station, facilitated by Citylink coaches,
  2. the flight to Prague from Dublin airport,
  3. the hostel stay,
  4. the flight to Dublin from Prague airport.
  5. the Citylink coach back to Galway coach station from Dublin airport.


The price for the ticket to Prague Zoo will be a separate charge and is not covered with this ticket.

Any additional requirements. will have to be communicated to the head trip leader within the week of the tickets being sold,


Members’ Rules for Society Trips


  • Note: If you are in breach of any of the rules, you may be subject to university disciplinary action or banned from future Society trips.

  • Note: If you present a danger to yourself or another member or multiple members on the trip you may also be asked to return to University of Galway immediately, and you may be liable for any costs incurred.

  • Everyone who signs up for the trip must be a current student of University of Galway for the duration of the trip.

  • You must have a passport for all trips outside of Ireland.


NOTE Deposits on flights are non-refundable once flights are booked.


By purchasing this ticket you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.

Members are required to obey the following rules . 

• Be aware of the hazards involved

• Must not jeopardise your own health & safety or that of others.

• Must follow instructions given by trip leaders and officers.

• Must inform officers or trip leaders of any medical condition that may affect your ability to participate, or affect emergency first aid treatment.

• You are responsible for making an informed decision as to whether it is a suitable activity for you.

• If consuming alcohol, you must drink responsibly and in a manner which will not endanger your own safety and health and that of others.

• You must never participate in potentially hazardous physical activities while under the influence of alcohol.

• Inform yourself of, and respect, local customs and laws

• Must stay in groups of no less than 3.

• Ensure in the event of receiving medical treatment that you are 100% satisfied that you have received all the medical treatment you require before being discharged.

• Note you are covered by University Insurance for the duration of the trip, any travel outside of the trip you will need your own travel insurance.

• Members must implement the buddy system and make sure the other 3 appointed are present and safe and ready to get on the bus.

• Must be ready for the bus at the appointed time.

• You must inform the trip leader if you don’t intend to return on the bus.

• No drinking on the bus.

• If staying in accommodation make sure your bedroom door is securely locked at all times to ensure your safety.
