With over 100 Societies in University of Galway you are sure to find one for you.
We are looking to send one team of five to UCD this Saturday, March 1st, to represent UG in the VCIC . The Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) is the largest VC competition in the world, with over 130 universities participating each year. Unlike traditional business plan competitions where students pitch their own startup ideas to investors, at VCIC the students take on the role of venture capitalists, while three entrepreneurs pitch their businesses to them. This creates a powerful and immersive learning experience for both parties. Student teams act as a venture capital firm and are given a hypothetical fund to invest in. They must analyze the startups, decide how to allocate their investment, and then defend their decisions before a panel of real venture capitalists. The competition kicks off at 10 AM at UCD on March 1st . The winning team will advance to compete in the global finals at the University of North Carolina in April.
