At our NYCI-based workshops, we carried out an insightful activity which highlighted global wealth inequity. The yellow squares represent wealth, and the blue squares represent population density.
It highlighted that all of the wealth is centred primarily in North America and Europe but that most of the world's population is divided between Asia and Africa.
This global inequity, along with Western military interventionism, has created and perpetuated the very real humanitarian crisis which has resulted in 65 million displaced people globally! Half of those displaced in Europe are under 18....
