Halal Bihalal is a uniquely Indonesian social tradition held after Eid al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan). While the name is derived from Arabic, the practice itself is a cultural hallmark of Indonesia, centered on the themes of reconciliation, harmony, and community.

For the Indonesian students and diaspora living in Galway, this event serves as a "home away from home," bridging the distance between Ireland and the archipelago through food and fellowship.
