The Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the EU has been the subject of controversy since it was tabled several years ago. More recently, it has stirred debate and criticism from many eco-socialist activists in Ireland who are concerned about the deal's potential negative effects on workers' rights, housing, the environment, and democratic processes in Ireland.
Join us via Zoom (link below) on Thursday evening for an introduction to eco-socialism, CETA, and why we are opposed to it. Discussion and questions are encouraged, and if you'd like some background reading please see the suggested articles below!
