 . In 2024\, over 180 lives were lost on Irish\nroads\, with young drivers 
 and passengers disproportionately\nrepresented in these tragic statistics.
  Every number is not just a\nstatistic—it represents a life cut short\, a 
 family devastated\, and a\ncommunity affected.\n\nThis event aims to raise
  awareness\, encourage safe choices\, and equip\nour university community 
 with the knowledge and tools to stay safe on\nour roads.\n\nThis event is 
 taking place at 19 Distillery Road\, which is opposite\nthe Arts Millenniu
 m Building and the James Hardiman Library.  \n
